Run for Office
We can only vote for reasonable, non-partisan people if they run for office.
This is why we desperately need a third party populated by reasonable people who consider themselves Americans, not Democrats or Republicans. We need people who are dedicated to ensuring that 90% of American families can afford to live comfortably. We need people dedicated to reducing our debt. We need people who are willing to work with any other reasonable person regardless of their party as long as they are improving the lives of Americans.
We need plumbers and grocery store managers and nurses and police and marketing assistants, not lifelong politicians poisoned by partisanship and gorged on the donations of a few dozen billionaires. We need good, reasonable people who are only there to improve the lives of the their neighbors and fellow citizens, not as a career.
But what reasonable person wants to run for Congress? It's a pit of bickering vipers that sucks the life out of anyone with dreams where nothing gets done. And the only way to get that useless job is to cozy up to billionaires and, well, do you know any billionaires? Even if you did, the only way to get them to support you is by committing to do what they want, regardless of if its best for the people you represent, and that's what got us into this mess in the first place.
This is the challenge we face. The only way to fix Congress, to fix this country, is for reasonable people to bravely wade into that cesspool without sacrificing their morals and enact the laws that fix the mess the elected Republicans and Democrats have created. We need reasonable, normal, courageous people to run for office.
We need you.
